The Space Planner Tool was designed
with entertainment as well as functionality in mind. To be able to
deliver such a powerful and fun application over the web to the widest
audience, Macromedia's Flash technology was selected. Thanks to Flash,
we were able to create a visual communication aesthetic that is intuitive
to the user while being smooth and fun to watch. Flash allowed 4GIG
to build a robust feature set into this application in a limitless
environment and deliver it to the general internet population in
a fast and beautiful package. The core concept behind the Space Planner Tool's technology was to create a product that was portable, so it could be added into any existing website. Changing the existing library of furniture and creating your own custom list of furniture categories is incredibly easy and can be done with very little lead time. Additionally, the entire look of the interface can be adjusted to fit the identity of your organization. |
 
Since 4GIG hosts the entire application,
no modifications to the existing site hosting platform need to
occur. However, since the Space Planner Tool uses PHP and MySQL,
it can be ported to a
variety
of server
environments, so hosting with 4GIG is not your only option.
